Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the WatTrip mobile application or website at https://wattrip.silviuapps.ro (collectively, the "Service") operated by Silviu Apps ("we", "us" or "our").

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

1.1 Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited licence to use the App on any Android device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

1.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

1.3 Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service or any third-party API accessed through it in violation of those APIs' terms.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to any server or network connected to the Service.
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
  • Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or any harmful or illegal content.

2. Premium Subscription

2.1 What is included

The optional Premium subscription ("Premium") removes all in-app advertisements. The subscription is billed monthly at the price shown in the Google Play Store at the time of purchase.

2.2 Billing & renewal

Premium is billed on a recurring monthly basis through Google Play Billing. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

2.3 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time via Google Play → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain Premium access until then. We do not offer partial-month refunds except where required by applicable law.

2.4 Refunds

Refund requests for Google Play purchases must be submitted through Google Play according to Google's refund policy. We cannot process refunds outside of the Google Play system.

2.5 Price changes

We reserve the right to change the subscription price. We will notify you of any price change before it takes effect. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

3. Advertising

The free version of the App displays interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free version you consent to the display of these advertisements. Advertisements are governed by Google's advertising policies.

4. Third-Party Data & Services

The App relies on third-party services and open data sources including the Google Maps SDK (map rendering), Open Charge Map, OpenRouteService, OSRM, Photon, Nominatim and open.er-api.com (see our Privacy Policy for details). We make no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data provided by these sources.

Charging station data disclaimer: Information about charging station availability, pricing, connector types, and operational status is sourced from Open Charge Map community data and may be outdated or incorrect. Always verify charging availability before beginning a journey. We are not liable for any loss, expense, or inconvenience arising from reliance on charging station data displayed in the App.

Route disclaimer: Routes and charging-stop suggestions are generated algorithmically based on your stated vehicle range. Actual range varies significantly based on driving speed, weather, payload, HVAC use, and other factors. Always plan a safety margin. We are not responsible for any vehicle breakdown, range anxiety, or related costs.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding open data), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Silviu Apps. The WatTrip name and logo are trademarks of Silviu Apps. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

Maps are rendered via the Google Maps SDK; use of the map is subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms. Geocoding data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Full attribution is displayed within the App.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Silviu Apps, its affiliates, directors, employees, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, goodwill, vehicle damage, or personal injury — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 10, whichever is greater.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Silviu Apps and its affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination the licence granted in Section 1.1 ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or email (if provided). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
